FA-tan
Thanks for the Gothic Lolita Wikipe-tan. :-) Here's an idea: Another user has made a Wikipe-tan image for Wikipedia:Good articles. I was thinking: How about an image for Wikipedia:Featured articles too? FAs are more comprehensive and complete than GAs. I think such an image would have Wikipe-tan as an adult (as in her future), and incorporating the Featured Article gold star in some way. Ideas for outfit: Women's white navy uniform. (many alternatives here [1] [2]) Other alternative: Japanese black school boy uniform. Sound good? --GunnarRene 14:36, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Women's navy uniform incorporating FA-star? Hmm...How about this?
- --Kasuga 16:53, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Haha. Amazing. I think another barnstar is in order. :-) --GunnarRene 19:15, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Wonderful image! In fact, I think I'm going to borrow it. ;-) Kirill Lokshin 21:16, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- There is also a version with a see-through background: Image:Wikipe-tan_in_navy_uniform2_transparent.png. Template:Anime now automatically changes to FA-tan when the article is featured, as in Talk:Excel Saga. --GunnarRene 21:27, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

LGPL
Hi, it looks like the featured star is LGPL, not GFDL. Is it OK for you if we change the navy FA-tan to LGPL to reflect this? --GunnarRene 19:51, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, thank you for notice, GunnarRene. I had replaced tags by myself. --Kasuga 20:18, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Image request
Hey im here asking for a more older looking version of wikipe-tan.maybe like the one from the image where she is with a infant and the younger her. the reason? well on my userpage i placed a comment (before i found out about the fair use images) that stated that I think they are hot. as meaning that the girls from anime are hot. but the only problem is now i only have the younger looking girls to work with and well it looks kinda wrong now stating that they are hot. so please help me out with this issue thanks (i copied and pasted this from where i posted before since i couldnt think of anything else to say) Maverick423 17:01, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
o wow i just saw the one up there. it looks nice! =) if its possable may i request one of her in a adult form like above with maybe a college girl outfit or something like that. thanks much!! Maverick423 17:07, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Though it's a coincidence that I drew her adult-form, I'm glad that you are pleased. You are welcome.--Kasuga 17:31, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
yes she is really cute =D i hope to see a college girl uniform on her sooner or later =) i want to place her on my user page so that i can remove the younger one soon =) i dont want to be seen weirder then i already am =P. Maverick423 17:53, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- College students in the US, Japan or UK don't normally wear school uniforms though. Perhaps Navy college, or just casual wear will do? :-) --GunnarRene 20:59, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Sure =) what ever looks good casual cloths sounds good and there are so many forms the possabilitys are endless =D in addition gunnarrene i think only the high class colleges are the ones that have the students wear uniforms. if any college uniforms are selected she can have a cool looking one with a patch on the shirt that has the wikipedia puzzle peace on it. you know like the harvard shirts have the little patch near the heart or something like that but instead of the harvard patch the wikipedia puzzle as a patch. Userbox
Hello Kasuga. I was just wondering if you write your own manga or just practice moé style drawing. Either way I have made two userboxes that you might like:
This user practices the moé style of drawing |
at User:Yuanchosaan/Userbox/User moédrawer
and
This user writes their own manga. |
at User:Yuanchosaan/Userbox/User mangawriter.
Thank you very, very much for making Wikipe-tan. I tried to visit your Japanese page but sadly I can only read hiragana! Anyway, happy Editing! YuanchosaanSalutations! 01:15, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for userboxes, Yuanchosaan. If I use your userbox, I might use {{User moédrawer}}. No offense but, to our regret, I don't use the user box for personal self-introductions not related to edits on Wikipedia. --Kasuga 10:14, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Wikipe-tan image
I have used one of your images of Wikipe-tan to create another image, Image:Wikipe-tan fansub.png. What license do you prefer to use for this image? I usually chose a Creative Commons license, but I just want to know what you feel ok with. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 05:29, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Choose freely the license that you want. It's copyleft! --Kasuga 15:19, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok. That makes things a lot easier. :) Well, I went ahead and choose the license you used for the Wikipe-tan in the school fuku outfit. The image is still in a "beta" format, but I hope to use it for our article on fansub. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 17:23, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep up the good work. --Kasuga 01:49, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Umm... good, copy left. I created a wallpaper of Wikipe-tan adressed Gothic Lolita for a GL friend. I like to publish in KDE-Looks, so i think that not are any problem, always putting the original source. (I'm not a user of Wiki --ZardoZ-- 3 May 2007)
Request image
Hey there long time no talk =) well i started a project recently Wikipedia:Wikiproject Festivals and i was wondering if you could hook us up with a image of wikipe-tan in a party outfit or something. Preffably in a adult form as well festivals are mostly celebrated by adults. any help would be much appreciated =) thanks much! ooo almost forgot to add if you can make some party background too u know or just make her having the time of her life lol maybe even have her with her younger self go crazy with it =) if any thing just draw her having fun holding a ballon and blowing on one of those noise makers with confittie all around her and stuff =D Maverick423 20:16, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Long time no talk too, Maverick423.
- Is "party outfit" which you're saying the outfit like dinner dress or cocktail dress? If you show me a few reference images, it will make my work easier. By the way, it might be hard to draw the background and/or the crowd for the image. Drawing the background, especially the crowded place like a party hall, needs far bigger time than one person. --Kasuga 15:53, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- The simple thing is to take the navy Wikipe-tan (FA-tan) and give her a party dress, a party hat and a balloon. A more involved thing would to have the adult Wikipe-tan dancing with a younger version of herself. --GunnarRene 17:51, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Hmm i didnt think bout that. how bout something from mardi gras or maybe a hula skirt from Hawaii (my fav choice =P) or maybe her wearing some sort of tropical flashy dress with a party hat on. ill see if i can find something more specific but tell me what you think Maverick423 21:14, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- You know, we should just make the Wikipe-tan dress-up game and be done with it. --GunnarRene 21:30, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- LOL thats a great idea but you know how crazy those games get. lets save her innocence for a bit longer =P Maverick423 21:43, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- If this is the official requests page now, I want one of her in a kimono. We have maid, schoolgirl, and gothic lolita, so a kimono-clad version is only logical. It would make an appropriate alternative for the festival theme as well, now that I think about it. --tjstrf talk 08:18, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

The Sisters
Per your quote "I, however, currently have no good idea for moe anthropomorphism for other Wikiprojects," I have thought of designs for moes of some other wikimedia projects:
- Wikiquote: She is holding a microphone and holds a tape recorder. Her hairclips have the WQ icon on them.
- Wikimedia Commons: Sort of an artsy girl, wearing a beret and holding a nice framed piece of art.

- Image:Commons-tan emblem.png was an idea that I had for the Commons-tan emblem for her maid uniform and stuff. Haven't figured anything out for Wikiquote. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 03:14, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Need your help again
Hello again! Please help us resolve another situation in the Bleach-related articles. Assuming you have seen at least some of Bleach, what dialect would you say Gin Ichimaru uses, and is it considered polite or not? If you have not seen Bleach, I can provide a sound clip. Thanks in advance. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 09:33, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again, Ynhockey. No, I have not ever seen Bleach anime. The Japanese article, however, ja:BLEACHの登場人物(characters in Bleach) says: "he speaks in Kansai-ben. (Kyoto-ben, that's checked by Yusa who raised in Kyoto, in anime.)" Yusa is a voice actor as Gin Ichimaru in Bleach anime. --Kasuga 10:56, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Idea for more Non-Wikipedia -tans
I just had an idea for some more -tans for other Wikimedia Wikis.
Meta: Holding a PDA, and wearing a small telephone earpeice.
WikiBooks: Carrying a small bag of books, and also reading one.
Wikiversity: Similar look to WikiBooks, but a young adult with a scholar's cap and graduation outfit and one large textbook in the bag.
Do you like that idea? Ryan Got something to say? 12:44, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- I have two more:
- WikiNews: Holding a news reporter's microphone with the letters "WN" printed on it.
- WikiSpecies: Wearing a hair clip shaped link a strand of DNA, and studying a book.
- Okay, that's all there is! Ryan Got something to say? 12:43, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for the ideas. They might be useful when new Wiki-sisters will be designed in the future. --Kasuga 17:29, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Wikipi-tan
今日は Kasuga-先輩
私の名前は Perfectblue です, I am working with Wikipedia project-paranormal, and would like a Wikipe-tan for the project and for my user page. If you are not too busy, could we please have a Chibi Wikip-tan dressed in black, with dark glasses, like Will Smith from Men in Black or Fox Mulder from The X-Files.

Could expand your english user page please? (i can't read japanese). Your english doesn't seem to be poor--Mr Mat
Good day to you. Might I ask if this category was mislocated by me? I am quite unaware of what manga really should be placed at. Your help is greatly appreciated. DC&Marvel maniac 15:49, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, DC&Marvel maniac.
- Though I don't know the definition of "Horror comics" in English terms, the category contains many works not considered to be "horror manga" in Japan. For instance, Berserk and Ichii the Killer are considered to be not horror but a heroic fantasy or a violence action, though these works have horror elements. Tokimeki Tonight is not horror manga at all. It's a shojo manga for little girls, and it has no horror element. Besides these works, many non horror manga are listed in the category now.
- Though it is difficult to define proper horror manga genre, the genre at least obviously contains:
- Shigeru Mizuki's Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro,
- Jiro Tsunoda's Kyofu Shinbun and Ushiro no Hyakutaro,
- Kazuo Umezu's Orochi, Hyoryu Kyoshitsu and other his works,
- Hideshi Hino's Dokumushi Kozo and other his works, and
- Junji Itou's Tomie, Uzumaki and other his works.
- Basically, whether the manga is a proper horror manga or not is judged according to its author and publishing magazine. If a work is drawn by a horror mangaka, it's published in a horror manga magazine, and it includes horror elements, it is considered to be a horror manga. In another saying, If a work is neither drawn by a horror-mangaka nor published in a horror manga magazine, even if it includes horror elements, it might not be considered to be a horror manga.
- Sorry for my poor English. --Kasuga 18:31, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
loli wikipetan
Apparently someone's drawn a version of wikipe-tan, labeled it loli, and added it to the lolicon page with a PD-self tag. You might want to check out Talk:Lolicon for the discussion that's going on. Night Gyr (talk/Oy) 05:52, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for telling me, Night Gyr. I guess it would not get into trouble if he/she had uploaded it under GFDL or CC. --Kasuga 01:37, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- The reason why I had it deleted earlier is I only saw your name in the image (so I thought it was your work being stolen by others) and the account name that uploaded it "4lolicon" was uploading images from an image board under false licenses. The situation is being discussed now in various places (including my talk page). User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 01:49, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well sort of. The license was only incorrect, not "false", and the indecipherable signature said "Kohikki", not "Kasuga". --tjstrf talk 03:02, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

- That image is not my work. However, I think your(Zscout's) act was not wrong. Kohikki's work seems obviously a derivation work of Wikipe-tan. Kohikki should have uploaded it under GFDL or CC, or used a girl who is not Wikipe-tan. --Kasuga 03:15, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Image idea
Hello Kasuga! Thank you for all your wonderful art. :)
I know you are a fan of anime; I don't know whether or not you like Sailor Moon, but I think it would be very cute to see Wikipe-tan in the costume of a Sailor Senshi. I could try to draw it myself, but I am not very good at oekaki, and I'd like to see something as tidy as the rest of your images. If you don't have time, I understand! If you do, WikiProject Sailor Moon would be happy to adopt a Sailor Wikipedia. ^_^ --Masamage ♫ 21:57, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure the Sailor Senshi designs are copyright to the Sailor Moon author, so that wouldn't work. --tjstrf talk 23:11, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- Nope, not as such. They're just slightly elaborate sailor fuku school uniforms, and other series have used similar designs in parody without any problem. I asked when I uploaded Image:SailorGeneric.svg and everyone said it was probably fine. --Masamage ♫ 23:31, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Masamage. As tjstrf's saying, the copyright of costume design for Sailor Moon is owned by Naoko Takeuchi and Toei Animation. Other Sailor Moon series were produced under the permission of the copyright holders. I can't think they agree to the distribution of Sailor Moon's costume design under the copyleft. Even if we will draw Wikipetan who takes the Sailor Moon style costume, we should change the design a little from the original, as parody. --Kasuga 16:39, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, maybe. I wish I knew for sure that they have copyrighted the costume. Actually, I like your idea of changing it--how about, instead of a Sailor Senshi parody, a general Magical Girl Wikipe? Then the costume could be completely new. --Masamage ♫ 17:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Unaffiliated lolicon character?
Hello, Kasuga. In light of the lolicon picture controversy, where a Wikipe-tan lolicon is unacceptable and the current swimsuit-and-popsicle seems to be controversial, I was wondering if you could draw a lolicon character not affiliated to Wikipe-tan (or anything for that matter) and upload it for the lolicon article. No pressure; I understand how you may be hesitant to do this. I'm just asking as someone who had an idea to end the arguing. (messedrocker • talk) 02:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hold that thought. Apparently, the other (non-Wikipe-tan) image we have now was controversial simply because it's lolicon. You may not need to draw a lolicon character after all. (messedrocker • talk) 02:57, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, Messedrocker. I can't help you. I wouldn't like to contribute pornography-like arts on Wikiprojects. --Kasuga 13:03, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- While I know you supported my earlier deletion of the Wikipe-tan photos, however, the current deletion is out of my hands. You need to ask this guy to figure out what happened. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 10:42, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, Messedrocker. I can't help you. I wouldn't like to contribute pornography-like arts on Wikiprojects. --Kasuga 13:03, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- They seem to confuse two different problems. The first problem is about the license, and you deleted the image for this. The second is the suitability for the article. It might be hard to get the final mutual agreement because second problem contains individual moralities and senses.
- By the way, I am looking over Talk:Lolicon. Sorry for I can't join the discussion. I can't follow the earliness of it because my English skill is very very poor. --Kasuga 16:19, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'll try and explain it the best that I can. When I deleted it first, it had sourcing and licensing issues. Once they were undelete on the Commons, someone let Jimbo Wales know about the images. Due to his reasoning of association with Wikipedia, he was made an administrator on the Commons and deleted the images himself. Jimbo's deletion caused many here and on the website "4chan" to denounce the deletion as censorship. The discussion is now trying to find an image of lolicon that could be acceptable, which is why they asked you for an image. I am not sure where the discussion is now. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 10:59, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the explanation, Zscout. I didn't know that the situation is expanded into that. Hmmm... I have no English ability for joining the discussions, but I might be able to offer an original young girl's image that is not so sexual. Well, please ask me when it becomes really needed. --Kasuga 15:04, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Model for clothing articles?
I think that it would be useful to have either Wikipe-tan or another character model for the clothing articles. The lingerie articles could use a model.
- If it is necessary, I can draw it. But I think you should use the appropriate fairuse or copyleft photographies when you can use them.--Kasuga 16:24, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- Please see here: [[4]]
I don't want to pester you...
I don't want to pester you, but Wikipedia:The Zen of Wikipedia seems to be in need of a picture of Wikipedia-tan meditating, so I'm asking if you'd be willing to create such an image. Thank you for your time. Thanks, Luc "Somethingorother" French 17:08, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Lubaf. I have drawn it. I hope you like it.
- And, I have read your article about Wikipedia's Zen. It's pretty funny. I like your article. --Kasuga 13:09, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Evangelion Wikipe-tan?
Kasuga, if you have time, I'd like to request a rendition of Wikipe-tan as an Eva pilot in Neon Genesis Evangelion. The image would be placed on the Portal: Evangelion page as an official symbol for the project, and would also be used in the portal links in the NGE-related articles. Thanks for your attention. Willbyr (talk | contribs) 12:40, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Willbyr. Yes, I have the time. But Evangelon's pilot suits' design is copyrighted by Gainx. Therefore, we can't distribute the design under the copyleft like GFDL or CC. I must contribute the pic under fairuse if I draw it. Of course, it can be used at only Wikiproject that admits the fairuse, and cannot be uploaded on Commons. If you agree to it, I will draw it. --Kasuga 13:15, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- I hadn't thought of that, but as long as all the fair use guidelines are met I don't see a problem with it. Thanks a lot! Willbyr (talk | contribs) 13:22, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Kasuga, there is a slight problem with the suggestion you gave. According to our policy on fair use images, we are not allowed to use fair use images as icons or symbols for Wikiprojects. That means the image will have to be deleted unless it is used in an article. I am not sure how much progress you have made with the image, but speaking as an administrator, I respectfully ask you to pause you work on this image and also not to upload it to English Wikipedia. If you have any questions, please ask me. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 08:40, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Gah! The more I thought about it, the more I thought that this might be the case. Ah well, it was worth a try...would Wikipe-tan holding a sign that says "WikiProject Evangelion" be permissible? I can't see how this could cause a fair use issue, and it's something that other franchise-based WikiProjects could possibly use. Willbyr (talk | contribs) 12:09, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you for the advice, Zscout. Yes, I had overlooked our policy on fairuse. Instead of that, I will draw Wikipe-tan holding a blank signboard, which never violate any copyrights. They can freely write names or messages they want on the signboard. And, as far as I know, the writing of the simple-word like "Evangelion" on it has not any copyright problems. --Kasuga 14:07, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

- I think you had better have your WikiCommons account than it. That's quicker, and it will be useful for you in also the future.--Kasuga 11:45, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

A question regarding this image - if more than one WikiProject uses it, will each version be saved to the gallery in Wikipe-tan's article, or simply appear on the WikiProjects' pages? Just curious.Willbyr (talk | contribs) 21:03, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmmm...I had't thought it. But I think it's very nonsense to display many images which have only little difference in an article. It's redundant.--Kasuga 21:39, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Probably display the blank ones and put a note using hidden text that says "Please don't post individual project variants of this image please." User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 03:36, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Tagosaku to Mokube no Tokyo Kenbutsu.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Tagosaku to Mokube no Tokyo Kenbutsu.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG 15:23, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

- Just to let you know Image:Tagosaku to Mokube no Tokyo Kenbutsu.jpg turned out to be PD in the US after all, so that one's good. Also, good to see another fan of Fushigiboshi no Futagohime :) -- Ned Scott 22:19, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you, Ned Scott. Futagohime has already been closed in Japan. I love the anime's unusual setting like the hollow planet, so it's regret that the sequel had set to the boarding school. --Kasuga 21:24, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello
I love your wikipe-tan images and they are so cute but i noticed something is that there are not much pictures of her sister's and i'm wandering if you have any plans on more images of them . Richardson j 01:18, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, Richardson j. No, at present, I have no plan for Wikimedia sisters' image other than Wikipe-tan. Some Wikipe-tan images are used at some related projects and documents in Wikipedia. However, there was no page that needed other sisters' images up to now. I might draw their images if there are pages which need them.--Kasuga 21:05, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

- It's good use! But, in my environment, the message is displayed on her face. Can you fix it? --Kasuga 13:45, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Wikipe-tan as a Playboy Bunny?
Question: I don't know if this conforms within copyright limits... will you depict Wikipe-tan dressed as a Playboy Bunny (バニーガール) just for fun? I know Willbyr tried to request her in a Plug Suit, but was denied because of potential copyright problems. It's OK if you can't grant my request because it has potential copyright problems on it. Looking forward for your reply. - 上村七美 | talk 11:34, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi 上村七美. I don't know the copyright problems on bunny suits. But it seems not to have serious problems. The many women in bunny suits appears in many manga and anime in Japan, and they don't get permission from Playboy as far as I know.
- ...However, I'm hard to dress a bunny suit to the Wikipedia mascot even if there is no copyright problem... --Kasuga 16:58, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Since bunny suits are common dress, it is public domain. You can copyright the brand name of a outfit, like Wonderbra, but you cannot copyright the actual product itself (the bra). User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 03:29, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Considering that the gallery already has a pic of adult Wikipe-tan in a bikini, I don't think that having her dressed as a Bunny is that much of a stretch, but if Kasuga isn't comfortable with doing it then I don't see any reason to pressure him for it. I could actually see someone getting in a snit over it for the sexual connotation in much the same fashion as the "lolicon" Wikipe-tan (which was gone before I came around, so I can't speak for its raciness) Willbyr (talk | contribs) 04:15, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

- The question now is... Is it OK if you can grant my request? If you can't, that's fine with me; I won't pressure you because it's your decision. There's nothing else I can do. - 上村七美 | talk 11:01, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

- Oh, that I wasn't concerned about...I didn't think Playboy had any kind of copyright grounds on the suit to start with, I just don't want to see someone get their panties in a wad over the image if Kasuga does it. Willbyr (talk | contribs) 13:34, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Wikipe-tan for various Wikipedian types
This may be too ambitious to request, but it's on my mind so I'll toss it up...would it be possible to do a version of Wikipe-tan for each of the "types" of Wikipedians (inclusionist, deletionist, etc.)? I've had some ideas but I figured I better ask if it would be feasible or if it would be too time-consuming. Willbyr (talk | contribs) 17:53, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your help with Pre-World War II manga!
We will add the material you gave us. Right now I'm working on the After WW2 material, specifically on shojo manga. Timothy Perper 17:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Don't you have any question about my description? Frankly speaking, I don't think that you can write pre-WWII manga history by only those description. That's a mere overview. Please ask me if you have questions about that. --Kasuga 18:54, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Image help
No, you do not have to pick up a paintbrush for this one. What I been doing is trying to contact Japanese embassies about the photo of Prime Minister Fukuda. My only reply was from the Japanese Embassy in the Netherlands about the photograph. They want me to contact the Prime Minister's Office, but I do not know if they respond to English. If, you allow, can I forward the email I sent (and the reply) to you so you or other ja.wikipedians can deal with the situation. (The members of the ja.wikipedia IRC channel know of my issue, so they could provide some insight). Thanks. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 15:48, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, Zscout. Perhaps, the Prime Minister's Office can respond to your mail in English. But if you need a help in the contact with the Office, I can help you. Please notice me on this talkpage when you forward the mail to me. --Kasuga 13:52, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- I sent a short message in English, asking for which official I should talk to. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 03:45, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
About the Manga article
Kasuga-san,
A while ago, I promised you that I would add back some material that I temporarily removed from the manga article. That I have done, although I see that you have deleted it. That is fine with me, because I have fulfilled my promise to you -- and that is all that counts.
I also moved your etymology section to the section on the History of Manga Before World War II, because that is what the etymology section is about. I see you changed that also, which is also fine with me. How you edit this article is up to you.
I am not going to work on this article any longer, for reasons I outlined on the Manga talk page. The article at the moment is far too long (71 kilobytes), lacks an overall plan or architecture, and contains a great deal of unreferenced material, some of it, I am sorry to say, being yours. But that too is your business. It is your choice to design and build a coherent article or to pile up bricks hoping that they magically become a castle. They will not become a castle, no more than sketches become a portrait without planning and hard work. You are an artist and I am a writer. It is sad that we could not work together to create a plan for this article and for some others about manga that also need a great deal of work.
May I offer you the best luck working on this article.
Timothy Perper 16:00, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- Excuse my impolite expression. You now seem to be losing your temper. I felt that the article manga needs the etymology section. And, I can't wait for the completion of your work. You can't compel other editors to wait for the completion of your "accurate article" in Wikipedia. And, you can't keep your article in the future. Before that, any article is not yours (of course, nor mine). When you meet the other party who has an edit intention different from you, you should have the discussion patiently before abandoning your work. If you don't want your writing to be edited by others, do not submit it.
- If you will give your work up on the way, Sayonara.--Kasuga 16:58, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
